In a November Nine final table with no big names, the biggest name is probably David "Chino" Rheem. This L.A. pro, well known in poker circles, is looking to establish himself as one of the top name pros.
If he hasn't done so already, a top four finish in November at the WSOP main event final will probably cement that reputation for good.
Who Is David "Chino" Rheem?
Simply put, Chino Rheem is a professional poker player, who plies his trade in his native Los Angeles, California in the high stakes games at the Commerce and Bicycle Casinos. The 28-year-old Chino is no stranger to high stakes tournament play either, and has won nearly half a million dollars in World Series of Poker cashes not including this year's main event.
Chino's aggression at the poker table has served him well in the high stakes cash games. It seems to be working for him in the tournaments as well.
Why Chino Rheem Will Win the World Series of Poker Main Event
Chino is a pro, and has as much tournament poker experience as anyone at the table. He is currently experiencing a pretty hot run, having already come in 5th at the $5,000 mixed hold'em event for over $93,000 at this year's WSOP.
Chino is a savvy tournament opponent and his November Nine table mates will need to be on top of their games. Look for Chino to push the action and exploit any weakness he can find in an effort to collect chips and move to the top of the final table ladder.
Why Chino Rheem Will Not Win the World Series of Poker Main Event
Chino is short on chips, with only $10,230,000 to his credit. While it's enough to play some real poker, he's also going to be under a lot of pressure to be active, especially if the two shorter stacks go out early.
While aggression can be an asset, it can also be dangerous. If Chino runs into a big hand early, that aggression could see him heading toward the rail before his World Series of Poker championship dreams even get started.
