Mike Caro is a professional poker player and an expert of poker probabilities and statistics.
Nicknamed "The Mad Genius of Poker," Caro has twice finished in the money at the World Series of Poker, and he's also appeared on the World Poker Tour.
Caro's contributions to poker strategy have been frequent and lasting. In Doyle Brunson's classic book "Super/System," Caro contributed statistical tables that were based on his mathematical analysis of Texas Hold'em. Caro has written a wide variety of poker books. He's covered Hold'em, Omaha and Pai Gow poker.
Caro has also edited poker magazines (Poker Player and Gambling Times), developed computer software and put out a bunch of instructional videos. In addition to writing and gambling, Caro has done a ton of consulting work for various casinos.
Caro is very adept at analyzing the psychology of poker players. He's written numerous books on poker table dynamics including Poker For Women: A Course in Destroying Male Opponents at Poker and Beyond, Caro's Fundamental Secrets Of Poker and Mike Caro's Book of Tells: The Body Language of Poker.
Caro even started his own school for serious poker players called Mike Caro University. MCU will offer courses on poker strategy for beginners and advanced players. Poker enthusiasts can even earn a graduate degree from MCU. Though the MCU project is in its infancy, Caro has said that "it's clearly the biggest project that I've undertaken.
